Make the Most of Your Movie Experience
Watching a movie in a movie house can sometimes be a troublesome experience. Some people might be talking to loud that you can hear the movie or some just get up frequently to go outside obstructing your view. And you really need to concentrate especially if you are watching drama movies. You cannot afford to miss important scenes when you are watching these types of movies.
Even with a VHS or DVD copy, you run the risk of constant interruptions around the house. With PSP movies, you can put on your headphones and enjoy the movie without any distractions. And if you are forced to leave for any reason whatsoever, you can just bring the PSP with you. With so many drama movies to choose from, you can really start your collection and have movie nights every weekend.
PSP for Everyone
One of my friends recently bought a PSP, and it has virtually become an offshoot of his body. No matter where he goes, you can bet that his PSP will be close at hand. While this provides him with endless entertainment, it often leaves me and the rest of his friends searching for ways to keep busy.
After incessant pleading with him to put the PSP away, we finally reached a suitable compromise. Instead of relegating the PSP to a drawer or forbidding it altogether, we decided to turn the handheld device into group entertainment. We all pitched in and purchased a PSP TV cable so that we could all enjoy the video games and movies on my plasma.
A preteen view of PSP-Part 2
Getting it out a little late, but here it is . Part two of my grandsons’ thoughts on a PSP.
PSPs allow you to download new functions for your best friend. The SensMe feature is a pretty basic, but very well umm…emotional feature. It plays different music depending on the time of day or how you are feeling. While you’re still playing around with all of the cool features, gadgets, apps, or whatever you want to call them; time will continue to move forward and the world will advance. Now is the time you should update your PSP. Updating is the only way to get new features without going somewhere to buy the newest console available.
A fairly new PSP called the PSPgo is better than the original PSP in a few ways. Instead of using the UMDs, you have to download games, music, and videos. It has a bigger memory and it’s completely digital. If you ever stay up a whole night or even a whole week playing a handheld, it should be the Sony PSP.
PSP: Savior of the Old School Gamer
The PSP has some great ported games that might be first time experiences for many players. For example, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, was a smash hit on the PlayStation and Sega Saturn in the mid 1990s, and was the title that shaped the franchise as it moved forward. The Sega Saturn version, not released in the U.S., was ported to the PSP along with several new features making for an awesome gaming experience. In addition to Castlevania: SOTN, the PSP is the first system to have a U.S. release of the original Star Ocean game that was for the Japanese SNES, the Super Famicom. The Star Ocean series has since appeared in the U.S. and has been quite popular, but now fans are able to play the original without needing to first read Japanese.
You can find old-school PSP games at awesome prices, as well as exciting new titles and movies.
Movies On-the-Go!
With its sleek design and clean interface, when the PSP was released it looked like the shape of things to come. While the PSP will never topple the DS as the top handheld, it is an awesome system for gaming and media. The UMD videos that popped up in stores when the PSP was released made the system appeal to audiences other than gamers, which attributed to much of the PSP’s initial success. While UMDs aren’t being produced as much today, there are a lot of cool discount UMDs available for the PSP faithful. Now you can even find PSP downloads that eliminate the need for the game or video cartridge.
There’s nothing better than being able to watch a movie while on the road, on a plane, or just bored at school or the office. With the PSP, it’s possible for people to watch high quality movies without having to download or spend an arm and a leg.
A PRETEEN VIEW OF PSP
When my 12 year old grandson found out that I had a website and blog, he asked if he could post something. Since he knows a thing or two about PSPs, I told him he could. Here it is, I hope it surprises you as much as it did me.
MY EXPERIENCE WITH A PSP
By Caleb
Part one
The Sony PSP is one of the best handhelds in America (or even the world). One of the reasons is the graphics. With the LCD screen and crystal clear picture, you can see everything bright and clear. Another reason is the internet access. Who wouldn’t like to go on the internet every now and then with a handheld? Two of the best reasons are the music and videos. Just like the special games for the PSP ,you get special videos too. For the original PSP system, you have to use the hard-to-scratch UMDs (universal media discs). Only one part of the UMD is actually open (3/4″ or 2mm), which makes it easy to read and hard to scratch.
PSPs have another advantage from other handhelds, it fits in your pocket! PSPs also have large compacity batteries that usually last 4-8 hours without recharging, depending on what series PSP you have and what type of battery. If you have a PS3, what’s better than to have a similar PSP to go with it? Using a PS3 and a PSP together, you can use the remote play function; which allows you to play on your PS3 using a PSP. Pretty cool function.
PSPs make some of the best gifts for those outrageous teens or those calm well-behaved mature children who help you with everything. Why them, you ask? Because it would make you the best person in the world to them, or maybe for a few days, at least. PSPS are great gifts for Christmas or Birthdays. When you’re trying to find the best gift for someone and you don’t have enough money to buy them a car, buy them one of these babies.
The App Revolution Hits the PSP

It’s hard to believe that just a few years ago, the idea of portable applications was totally unfamiliar. Before the rise of the iPhone and other smartphones of its caliber, people mostly thought of their phones as a means to make calls and perhaps send the occasional text message. These days, portables serve many of the same functions as a laptop computer, with the added convenience of fitting in a pocket.
Likewise, the PSP Go is capable of much more than just videogames. While gaming remains the bread and butter focus of the system, this eminently portable device also hosts countless PSP apps. These run the gamut from music applications to clocks, calendars and software for watching television shows on the go. And of course Sony’s typical broad selection of high-quality games as well.
A Convenient Way to Charge Your PSP
Our laptops and desktops often function as hubs of activity these days. Just think of all the things we do on a daily basis that involve a computer, and all the ways they make our lives easier and more organized. Many people do their work from a computer, and when it’s time for leisure and relaxation they can turn on some music, watch a movie or play a videogame online.
It makes sense, then, that we would want to plug our other various portable devices into the computer to get them charged and synced. It’s nice to have all relevant consumer electronics in one spot rather than plugged into random walls all over the house. That’s where the PSP USB cable comes in handy – it allows PSP owners to charge up their portable gaming system from the comfort of their computer area.
SONY PSP

Developed by Sony Corporation, the PlayStation Portable or PSP was launched in the fall of 2004 first for the Japanese market. Five months later, the Sony PSP went on sale in North America.
The PlayStation Portable is the first handheld video game console to use an optical disc format, Universal Media Disc (UMD), as its primary storage medium. Other distinguishing features of the console include its large viewing screen, and connectivity with the PlayStation 3, other PSPs, and the Internet.
If you’re one of the generation of kids who stayed up all night with friends – fueled by cola and junk food – in a video game playing frenzy, you’re probably no stranger to the Mortal Kombat franchise. For me, the immortal words “Finish him!” are enough to inspire goose bumps and an itch to pick up a controller. Back in the days of the Super Nintendo, fighter fans really had two choices: Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter.
